Placing custom veneers requires a high degree of technical skill as well as attention to cosmetic detail. Dr Huigens places veneers routinely, and design each case individually to match and enhance the characteristics of each patient’s smile. Veneers can either be done immediately in the office by the process of bonding or done indirectly where the veneers are processed in a lab then cemented onto you teeth. Processed veneers we make in our office are made out of newer ceramic materials and are very life-like in appearance and will not fade or discolor. The veneers are very thin but strong once they are place on the tooth. Veneers require very little tooth reduction or none at all and usually require little or no anethesia. These restorations will correct spaces between teeth, crowded teeth, and/or discolored and chipped teeth. They will enhance your smile, brighten your entire face and improve your self confidence. We will help you decide which restoration would be ideal for you
Bonding can be a veneer but can be reversible. Usually no tooth structure needs to be removed however can be if necessary. Bonding is the process of adhering a synthetic tooth colored resin to your teeth for restorative and/or cosmetic purposes. Bonding can be used for the same problems that are corrected by veneers however, it is not as strong as veneers and can discolor over time but it easy to correct. It is also less expensive than veneers. The procedure can be done the same day at the office and you get immediate results.
